I have been fortunate enough to work with both Emma and Rachel over the past couple of years and they are a wonderful combination of professional and personable. In the security industry we are not renowned for being diverse or inclusive. By introducing Emma to the ASIS UK members we aimed to open the channels of communication and encourage security professionals to learn, empower and enable our industry to take Diversity & Inclusion seriously rather than pay it lip service. As part of the Trowers Includes Programme on diversity issues, we invited Rachel to speak on the subject of transgender issue or simply trans as we now refer to it following her
presentation. The aim of the series is to make the firm feel a more inclusive workplace, to increase tolerance and understanding and open our minds to how diversity and inclusivity are
assets in the workplace. Rachel’s presentation was very well attended and received and both informed, stimulated and educated our audience and the resultant feedback has been

I have been working with Rachel since 2016. She has been amazing and has helped me on my journey to understand the trans space and the concerns and issues the trans community face.
Rachel has supported me to better understand how organisations and individuals can be more trans inclusive and I know we can make progress by not only changing our own behaviours but by looking at the way organisations normally do things.
Rachel has helped to identify ways in which we can de-bias workplaces – and this can be by looking at the way we recruit and hire, by making good use of our workplace allies and by using data analytics to help achieve positive outcomes for equality, diversity and inclusion.
Rachel delivered training for us as part of the LGBT Mentoring Scheme. She also provided training to our staff and has been personally involved in our work to encourage trans inclusion in the legal profession.
She has been a great adviser and expert and has helped to explain the legal complexities that are also a part of the trans conversation.

I have had the privilege of working with Global Butterflies at three law firms and have seen first-hand Rachel and Emma’s ability to coach and support firms towards becoming truly trans inclusive. Whether that’s focusing on developing policy and process or engaging and educating staff at all levels – including those in specialist roles.
Most recently, Emma delivered a Trans Ally webinar to our Global Allies Network – with an audience of over 180 people from all corners of the globe. The session was informative and insightful and drew on Emma’s own personal experience – we are still receiving tremendous feedback! I’ve learnt an incredible amount myself through this journey.

It was a pleasure to work with Rachel who delivered a webinar titled ‘Trans 101: The trans and non-binary space’ .
Rachel explored what it means to be trans / non-binary in the UK, looked at terminology, the transition journey, the law, allyship, and what respectful engagement with the trans / non-binary community looks like in and outside the workplace.
